The Rainbow follows a pylon road through mountainous country, along the original stock route from Marlborough to Canterbury. From Nelson Lakes National Park, this trail follows a historic stock route through beautiful beech forest, over a spectacular alpine pass and down the mighty Clarence Valley to Hanmer Springs, a welcoming thermal resort. It’s now one of New Zealand’s best mountain bike touring rides.
