Events
There are plenty of opportunities to experience, learn about or even help restore the native flora and fauna of Otari-Wilton's Bush. Regular events include:
- guided tours to the kauri stand and other places of special interest
- forest restoration work parties
-
Thursday morning volunteering with Otari staff lectures at various times throughout the year an annual open day in spring, where the public can purchase native plants. Several environmental organisations join in on the day, making this a festive occasion.
For information on upcoming events, please visit the Wellington City Council Events Calendar.

The open day is centred around a native plant sale. Photo by Tim O'Leary.
