In this case, many people and organisations contributed time and money to help offset the high research and publication costs. First and foremost, we would like to thank the authors (listed above) who have given freely of their time. Without their willingness to work on this book as a labour of love, it would never have come to fruition. We also thank the Ministry for Culture and Heritage for a grant to record the oral history of cycling in New Zealand and of course the people who agreed to be interviewed as part of that project. The interviewees, many of whom have been quoted in the preceding pages, were: Wilf Broughton (Dunedin), Neville Brown (Dunedin), Dick Cheyne (Christchurch), Dave Fenton (Christchurch), Francis Hoen (Wellington), Barbara Howe (Waikanae), Bryan Jackson (Timaru), Paul Kennett (Wellington), Ted Langley (Nelson), Bert McConnell (Auckland), Bruce McCulloch (Oamaru), Keith McLeod (Christchurch), Graeme Milner (Christchurch), Leon Nevin (Christchurch), Alvyn Pennington (Paraparaumu), Katharine Price (Christchurch), Alan Rice (Wellington), Norm Robinson (Auckland), Dr Clare Simpson (Christchurch), John Struthers (Auckland), Tino Tabak (Ashburton), Laurie Tall (Invercargill), Jim Tate (Ashburton), Brian Turner (Central Otago), Doug Watkinson (Christchurch), Robin Willan (Christchurch), Jean Williams (Christchurch), John Wisslecroft (Nelson), and Don Worrall (Auckland).
